Privacy Policy
This policy describes the information TrustContent handles and the choices available to you.
Last updated: August 13, 2026
Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how TrustContent handles personal data when you browse the site, create an account, contribute to the directory, or claim a creator profile.
Data we collect
Depending on how you use TrustContent, we may collect:
- Account data: your name, email address, profile image, sign-in provider, and provider account identifier.
- Community activity: reviews, ratings, endorsements, creator submissions, profile edits, and moderation history.
- Creator claim data: the profile you claim, verification status, public creator identifiers, and evidence needed to review the claim.
- Technical and usage data: basic device, browser, referral, page-view, performance, and diagnostic information.
Google and X verification
If you sign in or verify a creator profile using Google or X, that provider sends us the account information and permissions you approve. For creator verification, we use provider access only to confirm the identity or public account connected to the listed profile. OAuth tokens stored by TrustContent are encrypted at rest.
How we use data
We use personal data to:
- provide accounts, authentication, and creator verification;
- publish and attribute community contributions;
- calculate rankings and protect them from manipulation;
- moderate content, prevent abuse, and secure the service;
- measure usage, diagnose errors, and improve performance;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain the integrity of community activity, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of data. Some records may remain in backups or moderation logs for a limited period after account deletion.
Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data, including access controls and encryption of stored OAuth tokens. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please protect your sign-in account and notify us if you suspect misuse.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data. You may also disconnect TrustContent through your Google or X account settings.
To make a privacy request, contact hello@trustcontent.co. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.
International processing
TrustContent and its service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers of personal data.
Children
TrustContent is not directed to children who are too young to consent to online services under the law where they live. If you believe a child has provided personal data without appropriate permission, please contact us.
Policy updates
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice when required by law.
